How to Redeem a Promo Code in Honkai: Star Rail
You can use these codes either through the official website or directly within the game. I’ll outline both methods below, based on what I’ve actually tested while playing.
Note: You’ll need to be signed up for the game and have at least one character on an active server before you can collect any rewards.
How to Redeem a Code in Your Browser
Personally, I find the browser route a bit less hassle, as you can conveniently copy and paste codes (less room for annoying typos). Here’s what you do:
- Head over to the official HoYoverse site and log in
- Hover over “Other”, pick “Redemption Code” in the dropdown

- “Redemption Code is invalid” – this code is no longer active, nothing much to be done in that case.
- “You have already claimed this redemption code” – you can only claim each promo once per account, so maybe you already used it earlier.
- “This redemption code has reached its usage limit” – this tends to happen when a code is super popular and already maxed out for redemptions.
